About Gatlinburg SkyBridge and SkyLift Park

The Gatlinburg SkyBridge is a pedestrian suspension bridge located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The bridge is part of the SkyLift Park, which also includes the SkyLift chairlift and the SkyDeck observation deck. The bridge is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America, it’s 680 feet long, and it’s 140 feet (twelve stories!) above the ground.

The Gatlinburg SkyBridge is a popular tourist attraction, known for its breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Visitors can walk across the bridge and take in the views from the glass panels in the floor, which provide a unique perspective of the forest below…yes, the only way across the bridge is to walk over the glass walkway looking twelve stories down!

The SkyBridge is equipped with a glass-panel observation deck at the midpoint of the bridge, it’s a great spot to take pictures, and it’s a perfect spot to see the sunset. Visitors can also take a chairlift ride, the SkyLift, to the top of Crockett Mountain, where the bridge is located, and enjoy the views from the SkyDeck observation deck.

How long does it take to go through SkyLift Park?

You will want to stop along the way to enjoy the views, snap photos, and check out the glass bottom halfway through the Gatlinburg Skybridge. The Gatlinburg SkyLift ride lasts about 20 minutes round-trip. Overall, we’d suggest you allow at least 1-2 hours to enjoy everything the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park has to offer.

The Gatlinburg SkyBridge is open year-round, weather permitting, and it’s a great place for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, and it’s also a great place for families to enjoy together.
